Still on a sand theme this fellow (or lady...how do you sex a crab ?) popped up on Boca Grande beach to say hello, presumably not too worried about being eaten by the human residents as being a bit on the small side. Can't take credit for the shot as my better half got the better picture....as she often does.

This guy (or gal) is so cute! A different type of crab than what they catch up here. I see the crab pots down at the end of the road sometimes, but I never see the men they belong to. Maybe one day I'll show up when they're bringing in their haul for the day.

Its a pity that many times when these guys cross the roads are crushed from the passing cars...
